Shaving in several steps

Interest in grooming has increased loads the past few years and the increase in new shaving products have been just as big. Dermalogica is a label that goes from strength to strength and they too have launched a special three step shaving kit.

 

 

 

 

There is no doubt that I like the products “pre-shave guard” and “soothing shave cream” from Dermalogica because they are good. The shave is soft and very close so you look extremely groomed when done. Though I have never been a big fan of the post shave products the “post-shave balm” is nice.

The only thing to complain about is that the shaving is split into three steps where most would do it in two and this takes the overall grade down a bit. To apply one product first, then have to wait two minutes before applying the next and then shave feels a bit complicated and yesterday. If the shaving would have been ten times better than anything else tried it would have been ok but I have tried products with the same great shave in one go and then it feels weird that Dermalogica cannot achieve this.

Taking time and relaxing is part of the grooming experience though. I realized that I preferred to use these products over the weekends when I have more time and can relax and just enjoy the shaving. And who said you can’t have two different shaving products?
