citron_logoI have a friend that always talks about the magic of fragrances and it is so true, not the least when you find one fragrance with two completely different faces, like the summer edition of Hypnôse from Lancome.

Hypnôse always comes out in a summer edition with a slight variation every year and it is always exciting to see if this year´s fragrance will be as good (or better) than the one from last year.

I loved the fragrance last year but the more you work with and the more you learn about fragrances, the pickier you get. You also get more interested in the more complex fragrances so development is essential. Last year Hypnôse was more of a classic summer fragrance, but this year´s summer edition of is definitely more exciting. It has the traditional citrus with orange, lemon and bergamot, but already in the top note there is some coriander. This is followed by petit grain and lavender in the middle note and some sandal and cedar wood in the base.

The interesting thing with fragrances is obviously how different they come out on different people. On me this is a rather traditional (but still very good) summer fragrance with citrus and wood. On our Senior Beauty editor Jean-Pierre it is completely different notes that comes out, more lavender mixed with wood, much more interesting and exciting.
