This year Eton celebrates their 80s anniversary. They celebrate by producing a special jubilee shirt that should be among the most expensive ones in the world.

The shirt is manufactured with a very specific type of Egyptian cotton. The cotton is spun and treated with the latest technology and is seen as the world’s best and most exclusive.

“I have worked in this industry all of my life and worked with high quality fabrics on an everyday basis but never before worked with a fabric quite like this”, says Jan Borghardt, Creative Director at Eton.

The most sensational about the shirt is probably the seven diamonds spread out over the chest and the cuff links. The buttons consists of five diamonds in different colours whilst the cuff links have white diamonds. The exclusive buttons are designed by London based accessory designer Zance Yianni from Saxon & Jackson. His ambition was to give the buttons and cuff links an old fashion feel that felt special and with extraordinary quality.

The shirt will be shown at NK in Stockholm on June 3. Then it will go on a tour at different Eton showrooms around the world before it is auctioned out in the beginning of 2009.
