Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair

shoerepair_ss10_man_logoFifth Avenue Shoe Repair continues their journey towards Shoe Repair-ville... It is amazing to see a fashion label where the development is so obvious (and full of joy) but where the basic identity still so clear.

Carin Wester

carinwester_ss10_logo_manCarin Wester was one of the Swedish designer that decided to show during Copenhagen Fashion Week instead of in Stockholm. The women´s collection was more grown up (borderline boring) but the men´s collection still had that very typical Carin Wester funky profile.

The Local Firm

tlf_ss10_man_logoCollection no 4 - searching the identity, don´t want to be predictable but still want to establish the label. The last collection from TLF was phenomenal and when that happens with no 3 this is what happens with no 4. I can´t say anything that I am still a big fan of TLF and think they are doing brilliantly. This is interesting to look at and I am already curious about collection no 5 and God knows this is not the case with all Swedish labels...

Cheap Monday

Friday, 10 July 2009 10:09

cheap_ss10_man_logoIguess that Cheap Monday sales mainly consists of their regular jeans. That is probably an explanation to why I don´t get (don´t confuse get and like - I don´t have to like everything I see) the collections at all. Love their normal jeans range but definitely don´t get the collections.

Hope

Monday, 06 July 2009 14:46

hope_ss10_man_logoHope put on the most spectacular and well produced show during the week at Berns and for the men´s collection in combination with the darker tones of next spring/summer it was perfect. It is a tad confusing to watch a show where I like the men´s wear but not women´s wear. Hope should really think about ditching the women´s wear and go the part where they really rock - the men´s collection!
