Runway - spring/summer 2010

Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair
Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair continues their journey towards Shoe Repair-ville... It is amazing to see a fashion label where the development is so obvious (and full of joy) but where the basic identity still so clear.
Carin Wester
Carin Wester was one of the Swedish designers that decided to show during Copenhagen Fashion Week instead of in Stockholm. She showed a spring/summer collection that was more adult than ever but perhaps a bit too grown up...
Minimarket
Minimarket decided to show their colorful spring/summer collection during sunny Copenhagen Fashion Week. The inspiration from the brilliant autumn/winter collection is still there and it is another really strong collection from the cool label.
Odd Molly
With the spring summer 2010 show Odd Molly takes us a bit closer to that perfect Sunday morning that it is they have as constant inspiration. I can’t say anything than that I love Odd Molly and truly understand why women all over the world do.
The Local Firm
Collection no 4 - searching the identity, don´t want to be predictable but still want to establish the label. The last collection from TLF was phenomenal and when that happens with no 3 this is what happens with no 4. I can´t say anything that I am still a big fan of TLF and think they are doing brilliantly. This is interesting to look at and I am already curious about collection no 5 and God knows this is not the case with all Swedish labels...
Cheap Monday
I guess that Cheap Monday sales mainly consists of their regular jeans. That is probably an explanation to why I don´t get (don´t confuse get and like - I don´t have to like everything I see) the collections.. at all. Love their normal jeans collection but definitely don´t get the collections.
Hope
Hope put on the most spectacular and well produced show of the week at Berns. Unfortunately this does not really help the women´s collection that I still find rather dull though I am greatful that it is more feminine silouettes now than what we have seen before.
Ida Sjöstedt
We all know that Ida Sjöstedt has a thing for tulle and the spring summer collection is not going to make anyone disappointed when it comes to that - there is lots of it! I have never been overly keen on the specific garments from Ida but I do love her imagination and playfulness. So often that is way more important than to just see another soulless garment ready to be price tagged.
Noir et Blanc
For a label totally dedicated to black and white the black spring summer trend must be very welcome. Noir et Blanc continues to work with their profiles and silouettes in a very specific way and it looks nice.
Islaet
Denmark and Sweden might be neighbours but Danes and Swedes are well different and fashion is definitely a way to tell. The Islaet spring summer 2010 show was filled with color, playfulness and done in a typical Danish bohemian way. It was a welcome contrast.
