Cecilia SteinerWho knows better what to find out in all the shops and department stores than the people working there? This gave us the idea to ask a number of people working in retail to pick their selections for us. The first one is Cecilia Steiner that normally works as Visual Merchandiser at cool PUB.

Tell us – what does a Visual Merchandiser do?
There are probably different job descriptions for every Visual Merchandiser but my job consists of styling the shopping windows towards Drottninggatan with clothes and other products. I also work with different spots in the department store as well as style the show area in the main entrance from Hötorget. We have some display boxes towards Gamla Brogatan and they are also part of my job. Apart from that I also select products and style PUB:s commercial shoots.

I also have a blog at PUB.se, Fashion Affair, and though it is not included in my job I obviously write a lot about my work there since I spend so much time with my job. To be able to write about what happens at Stockholm´s coolest department store is not bad, he he.

How would you describe your own style?
I got this question from “A Fanatic” a while ago so I will use the same answer:
Draped and I hope that it feels French since I am gallophile. Nice punk.

Cecllia Steiner - giving us a hand - or four...

Do you have any favorite labels?
Oh Yes – Vivianne Westwood and Sharon Wauchob are my two absolute favorites.

Which are your favorite Swedish designers?
Nakkna, Dagmar, Diana Orving, Rodebjer, The Local Firm and Minimarket.

What can we expect from your selections?
Lots! They will reflect PUB:s varied and contrast selection, filtered through my own personal taste of course. Everyday nice with a spice of luxury for women as well as men.

You find Cecilia´s first selection here and don´t forget to have a look at her blog (in Swedish).
